Job Title: Middle School Science Teacher and Science Olympiad teacher/coach/sponsor
Description: Teacher of middle school science to students in grades 7th and 8th and teacher/coach of primarly 7th and 8th graders in Science Olympiad. Full-time teaching schedule with some weekend and after hours work on Science Olympiad competitions.
Responsibilities: Teaching science curriculum, two classes at each grade level each day. Working with students before school one day a week and during electives (two days a week for two 50-minute periods) to prepare for Science Olympiad competition; working with other schools to prepare for competitions; coaching at the events
Qualifications: Certification and experience required. Excellent skills in encouraging interest and understanding of science to children this age. Good communication skills with children and parents. An understanding and appreciation of middle school-aged children.
Salary: commensurate with experience and credentials
