Educational Background:
BS (Southern Methodist University); MS (Avila University)
Sheila Abio has been an early childhood professional since 1998, both as a teacher and an administrator. Sheila spent six years working for a therapeutic child care center serving children with special needs, where she helped the center receive full accreditation. At a very young age, Sheila knew that she wanted to work with children and felt an instinctual connection to teach all children important skills to help them succeed in life. Sheila enjoys supporting teachers, parents and caregivers as they work each day to give their students the skills they need to achieve their personal best. Sheila joined the St. Paul's community in July of 2008 and looks forward to a long career serving the St. Paul's community.
Sheila and her husband, Vincent, have two beautiful children named Isabel and Fisher. During the spring and summer months, the Abio family spends weekends and holidays enjoying sailing on their boat that is kept on Lake Perry. Sheila is a swimmer and even completed a 12.5 mile swim around Key West in June 2009. It took seven and a half hours to complete the swim, and although it was challenging, it was the experience of a lifetime!
