Mr. van Thullenar began his teaching career at The Kansas Urban Education Center in 1983.  He then entered private school education at Notre Dame de Sion High School in 1985 teaching various social studies classes.  Coaching duties included basketball, softball, golf and the SADD program.  In 1987 Mr. Van came to St. Paul's and has been here ever since, teaching and coaching in the middle school.  Mr. Van is still teaching world history and has led the middle school division since 2005.  He has served on various committees within the school and has made several presentations at regional and national conferences. 

If you don't find Mr. Van in the school, you will most likely find him with his wife Linda, and their kids, Mari and Logan.  If he's not at school or with his family, it's quite possible that you will see him on the golf course.
