BS in Speech, Language and Hearing (University of Kansas); MS in Education (Pittsburg State University)
Christine began her teaching career in 2002 as a Kansas City Teaching Fellow with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation teaching fourth and fifth grade at Grant Elementary in Kansas City, Kansas. In 2005, Christine was accepted into the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program and she spent one year living in a rural community in central Japan teaching high school English. Following this experience, she taught sixth grade science and math at St. Elizabeth School and most recently taught 5th grade at University Academy Charter School. Christine is passionate about creating a student-centered classroom that engages students in meaningful activities and real-world problem solving. As a teacher at St. Paul’s, she is excited for the opportunity to pair a rigorous academic curriculum with creative learning opportunities that encourage children to take an active part in their spiritual, academic, and social development.
Christine is currently pursuing her Education Specialist Degree in Elementary Administration through UMKC. Outside of teaching and graduate school, she cherishes her time to exercise and relax with her husband and daughter.
