BS in Elementary Education (Missouri State University), *MA in Education, Curriculum and Instruction (UMKC) *in progress

Kate grew up in Iowa and St. Louis and graduated from Missouri State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. In August 2010 she moved to Kansas City and loves it (especially the change of baseball teams). Before coming to St. Paul’s she worked for Rockwood School District in St. Louis and spent her first year in Kansas City working for the Liberty School District. Kate also works for Sylvan Learning Center in Lee’s Summit as an instructor in their beginning reading program. She is so excited for this opportunity and looks forward to the wonderful new experiences she’ll gain as a member of the St. Paul’s faculty.

When not teaching, Kate enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, when he’s not busy with medical school (he attends KCUMB), photography, cheering on her poor Chicago Cubs, crafting, and keeping up with their new puppy! She is also in the Masters of Education program at UMKC.
