Kathleen Wiedeman
1st Grade Teacher
Email:
Educational Background:
BA in Education (Benedictine College & Rockhurst University); Masters Degree in Reading (University of Missouri Kansas City)
Kathleen began teaching at St. Paul's in the Fall of 2008 as a part-time Kindergarten Associate. Prior to that, she taught 4th grade for three years at a Kansas City Parochial Grade School and raised a family. She continues to tutor regularly- specifically in reading.
Kathleen knew that she eventually wanted to return to teaching at St. Paul's Episcopal Day School after she and her husband experienced, as parents, the nurturing environment within the walls of the school.
Kathleen and her husband have three children. Most people don't know that Kathleen is very committed to healthy eating, gardening and her seasonal Saturday morning visits to any outdoor vegetable market. When not at school, you can find her in her kitchen- either welcoming guests or cooking -or BOTH!
