Mr. Kurt taught Math, Social Studies, Language Arts and Physical Education in Iowa from 1981-1985 at a rural Catholic school and has been teaching at St. Paul's since 1985. He received his BA in Physical Education and minored in English at the University of Northern Iowa.
Mr. Kurt has one son, Sam, who just graduated from Missouri State with a degree in Hospitality Restaurant Management. Mr. Kurt enjoys biking, all sports and live music. He recently completed the bike ride across Iowa (RAGBRAI) for the 26th time. Most people don't know this, but Mr. Kurt was in the movie, "Field of Dreams."
