Student Council
The St. Paul's Student Council is an active organization for Middle School students and has a three-member Executive Board. Faculty members supervise Student Council. Homeroom representatives are elected each semester. The Student Council organizes and sponsors special events to benefit the school and the community. The Council also plans a variety of social events including middle school parties held at Halloween, Valentine”s Day and at the end of the year.
Special events/activities include:
- Selling snacks at break in Middle School division and drinks at lunch on Fridays for 5th-8th grade students.
- Assisting Parents’ Guild by selling drinks at Family Fun Fest in the Fall
- Sponsoring food drives for the St. Paul’s Parish food pantry in the fall and spring and monthly Feed-the-Need pantry collections.
- Promoting and supporting community projects such as Project Warmth, Hooked on Books Book Drive, and the Main Street Mile Fun Run.
- Promoting school spirit by sponsoring contests and theme days throughout the year. This includes Extreme Spirit Week which coincides with the St. Paul’s basketball tournament and spring food drive.
- Sponsoring fundraisers for our sister school in Haiti including an annual Middle School Dodge tournament.
- Collecting and processing General Mills Box Tops for Education.
- Providing an annual school gift with funds earned throughout the year.
Student Council Elections:
Members of the executive board are elected at the beginning of each school year and serve for the entire school year. Two class representatives from each homeroom are elected at the beginning of each semester and serve one semester term.
