Yesterday, our administrative team met for our annual retreat. In one of our sessions, we each answered the question, “Why St. Paul’s?”
As we get ready to start the year, I wanted to share some of the responses.
Why St. Paul’s?
Lisa Jones, Lower School Director, Middle School Academic Dean: “I love the people. It's a community where we all have the same goal which is to help our young people become the best human beings they can be while preparing them for academic success as well. Just as importantly, we ask that all members of our community demonstrate our Life Skills and live up to our Community Pledge (honesty, kindness, respect, responsibility, inclusivity) as we go about doing this very important work.”
Shawn Sharpley, Director of Technology: “St. Paul's cares not only about high academics, but about being good people.”
Jill McGee, Director of Admissions: “I am passionate about St. Paul's—I fell in love with it 23 years ago, and my passion for this school has only grown since then. I have seen the results of our balance of excellent academics, leadership and character development, and service in the lives of my own children and their friends.”
Sheila Abio, ECC Director: “We truly live our mission each and every day! We genuinely care about our students’ success by focusing on all aspects of development. Each child is a unique individual at St. Paul’s. We are a strong community and value everyone who makes up this incredible place.”
And me, “Simple. I believe in the mission. I want our students to develop a passion for learning and a passion for serving others.”
