Extended Day Highlights

A St. Paul's student does an activity with electricity
STEAM Class

Our Fall STEAM Enrichment classes were quite popular.  Students created cars out of clothespins, made light up greeting cards, and created catapults with popsicle sticks. In this picture, Will, experimented with Little Bits from STEM kits that include inputs, outputs and circuits.

Preschool Dinosaurs

Toddler and Preschool Extended Day students enjoyed a fun dinosaur book read by the Extended Care staff and they got to make their own dinosaur. (This particular student, Emerson, was so excited to make a craft of her own and show her big sister.)

Holiday Gift Making Class

The popular Holiday Gift Making Class was a success. Students were able to make lots of fun and personalized gifts for their family and friends. Students made snowman gift bags, painted fun Santa window clings, decorated hot cocoa bombs, decorated a sweater for their elf on the shelf, and more!

A group of St. Paul's students take a yoga class outside
Yoga Fun in the Sun

Students participated in Sunrise Yoga during a beautiful day off school in the fall. This class was lead by Candice, Extended Care Staff and Certified Yoga Instructor. Stretching first thing in the morning enhances clarity and peace of mind, especially since there are fewer distractions prior at the start of the day.

Three St. Paul's preschool students do math exercises together
Little Mathematicians

Toddler and Preschool Extended Day students participated in the Little Mathematicians Fall Enrichment Class. Each class offered unique and hands on activities for students to become more comfortable with numbers and math.

A St. Paul's 2nd grade student holds up her mindfulness activity sheet
Mindfulness Activity

Extended Day 2nd grader, Kinlee, participated in a mindfulness activity as part of her Yoga Enrichment Class. Students wrote down one thing in each balloon that frustrates them and crumbled the paper up as if they were letting go of balloons. The message - let go of the things that bug you!
