2023 Spain Trip Off to a Great Start

2023 Spain Trip Off to a Great Start

Every fall, a group of St. Paul's 8th grade students travel to Madrid, Spain for an exchange program with Colegio Alarcon. They arrived earlier this week, and students are already having amazing adventures while fully-immersing in Spanish language and culture.

St. Paul's Spanish Teacher, Hunter Ward, shared this update on the trip:

"Our 8th grade students have been having a great time in Spain, and they are enjoying getting to know their host families. They traveled to Granada for two days earlier this week and learned about the Moorish heritage and influence of this magnificent city.  They toured the La Alhambra palace and visited the old market which still sells handmade goods to this day.

Yesterday, they traveled to Madrid and visited some of the most famous landmarks of the city. Today, they participated in a school-wide Master Chef competition.  They have many more exciting opportunities ahead of them, and we are extremely proud of the way they are representing St. Paul's."

It sounds like students are making wonderful memories. We're looking forward to more updates from the trip in the days ahead!
