Fourth and Fifth Grade Students Compete in State Math Competition

Congratulations to three St. Paul's students, Alec, Sophia, and Daniel, who participated in the Missouri State Math Competition this past weekend. This annual event is organized by Math League and MCTM (Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics), and they moved the entire competition online this year to accommodate school closures.

In order to make it to Saturday's state level competition, all three students had to qualify during the regional round earlier in March. The competition consisted of four different challenging subtests. St. Paul's tied for fifth place in the fifth grade division and were in the top 50% of the 68 participating schools across Missouri. Way to make St. Paul's proud, Alec, Daniel, and Sophia!

We want to give a special shout-out to these students' parents who had to do the tough job of administering the exam - all on a beautiful spring Saturday!
