Grateful and Healthy : St. Paul's Celebrates Being Together for Spring Semester

As we kick off the second semester of this unique school year, the St. Paul’s community is more grateful than ever to have our students and teachers together on campus. We’ve learned so much from the past several months, and it’s reassuring to know that our community efforts to keep each other safe are working. School-wide masking, student cohorts, adaptive learning spaces, new drop-off and pick-up procedures – the list of necessary changes this year is long, but we can take comfort knowing that our community is healthy and strong.

Let’s celebrate some of the joy across St. Paul’s over the past few weeks. Cold, wintry weather and pandemic woes can’t bring these Spartans down.

Snowmen and Science
Kindergarten students are learning about chemical reactions and acidity during this wintertime STEAM activity! They used baking soda, water, and vinegar to create and "melt" tiny snowmen. It’s a great way to celebrate the season and reinforce scientific principles for our young learners.

A Return to Middle School Art Class

Middle school students recently returned to their art classroom after months of art classes in their home rooms. Now that we know our Covid-19 safety procedures are effective, students can start using some of our communal spaces again. It may seem like a small change, but students love being in this bright and cheery space; it’s a perfect spot to foster creativity!

Inspiring Words
Our students never fail to amaze us with their positivity. Ms. McAdams asked her class to write short messages of self-compassion for their desks to help them anytime they need some encouragement. Here's one thoughtful and inspiring message from a 4th grader: “Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, your heart for love.” What wonderful words of wisdom. We are so proud of these young citizens at St. Paul's!
