Spring and Summer Book Clubs Bring Students Together

This past spring, we were so impressed when a few St. Paul’s fifth grade students (Chloe, Fritz, and Katherine) decided to create a student book club to celebrate the beloved Percy Jackson series. The group was able to have one in-person meeting on campus in early March where they played Jeopardy covering the first seven chapters of The Lightning Thief. During St. Paul’s e-learning, the book club went virtual, and these students created some fun Kahoot activities for their peers!

Four fifth grade students meet for a video call to do a virtual book club activity.

Over summer break, one of our 4th grade teachers, Ms. McAdams, has been hosting weekly book clubs for third - fifth grade students. They are currently reading The Secret Keepers by Trenton Lee Stewart, and the group is virtually meeting on Fridays to discuss the story, make predictions, and do activities related to the book.

We’re so proud of our faculty and students for finding ways to connect while we are apart. We can’t wait to safely bring this community back to school in August!
