Rilye Fries St. Paul's Middle School ELA Teacher

6th Grade English/Language Arts

Rilye she holds a degree in elementary education from KU and has taught lower, middle, and upper school mathematics in England and New York City. She is passionate about reading, creative writing, and working with middle schoolers. She's also a St. Paul's alum!

 

 

 

Kari Frerichs  2nd Grade Teacher

2nd Grade Teacher

Kari has a bachelor's and master's degree in education and has taught second grade for 10 years in Omaha, Park Hill, and the Blue Valley school districts. She has led district-wide educator professional development efforts and taught teacher education classes at Baker University and The University of Nebraska. Kari and her husband, Ben, are also current St. Paul's parents.

 

 

Katie Hall  St. Paul's Kindergarten Teacher

Kindergarten Teacher

Katie is a St. Paul’s alum, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies. She has served as a St. Paul's substitute, taught classes for the Coterie Theatre, and has experience as a reading coach for elementary-aged children. Katie recently completed training in reading instruction and Conscious Discipline to get ready for her work with all three kindergarten classrooms this school year.

 

 

Michelle Rodriguez  St. Paul's Director of Development

Director of Development

Michelle joins St. Paul's as the new Director of Development after working in Development and Donor Relations roles at Unbound and Shelter KC. She received her bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas.

 

 

 

Rev. Brittany Sparrow Savage  St. Paul's School Chaplain

Assistant Rector / School Chaplain

Mother Brittany will be the school Chaplain and pastoral leader for our faculty/staff, students, and parents. Mother Brittany studied Religion and pastoral ministry at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville before moving to Kansas City to attend Nazarene Theological Seminary. Before joining the St. Paul’s community, she served as the Children’s Coordinator at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral. Click here to read more about Mother Brittany.

 

Abby Spendlove  St. Paul's Early Childhood Counselor

Early Childhood Counselor

Abby has experience as a preschool teacher at Operation Breakthrough, as an early childhood educator coach, and as a mental health assistant. Abby is also a former Teach for America participant and has two degrees in social work.

 

 

Joey Waldrup St. Paul's 4th Grade Teacher

Joey Waldrup
4th Grade Teacher

Joey holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Arizona and a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Joey began her career teaching at the Casady School in Oklahoma and has also taught at Ward Parkway Preschool and Visitation Catholic School.
