In late February, 7th grade students had the unique experience of fully immersing in a 3-day Spanish program! Through Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota, students spoke Spanish exclusively with each other and teachers while enjoying cultural activities, researching Hispanic influence around the world, and eating delicious food.

Recently, two St. Paul's 6th grade students won the local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter's annual essay contest. The essay prompt asked writers to explore a first-person perspective of journeying to the New World on the Mayflower in 1620. 

Sixth grade students examine and respond to propaganda pamphlets during a Holocaust Remembrance activity.

St. Paul's sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students recently traveled to the Coterie Theatre to see The White Rose. This performance served as the culmination of a Holocaust literature unit and the anniversary of the closing of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Throughout the past few weeks, students have also been analyzing and discussing the negative impacts of anti-semitic attacks across the US.

St. Paul's 5th grade students recently completed a collaborative project that explored the lives and work of selected influential figures from across the world. After individually choosing the Change Maker they wanted to study, students got to work researching, designing portfolios, writing papers, and developing a large-scale final group exhibit for friends, family, and teachers.
