Summer in the City 2026 Registration will open February 2, at 10 a.m! 

There's no requirement to be a currently enrolled St. Paul's school year student. We welcome any campers between age 3 through 8th grade for fun in the heart of Kansas City!

Parents enjoy the flexible City Camp options to suit a range of summer schedules, and students love discovering new interests in our diverse specialty classes. Whether a student wants to make some sculpture, dive into the world of Harry Potter, learn about cuisines from around the world, or play sports all day, there's a camp for everyone! Questions? City Camp Vs. Specialty Camps

June 1 - 5: Color Splash

Get ready to get messy and creative! Campers will explore color, texture, and self-expression through hands-on art and playful experimentation.
Example activities may include:

  • Tie-dye and drip painting
  • Color-mixing science experiments
  • Outdoor chalk murals
  • Mixed-media and recycled art projects

June 8 - 12: Wacky Scientists

Put on your lab coat and goggles! Campers will dive into exciting experiments and STEM challenges that spark curiosity and laughter.
Example activities may include:

  • Slime-making and bubbling reactions
  • Simple physics and engineering builds
  • Sink-or-float challenges
  • DIY inventions and discovery stations

June 15 - 19: Adventure Island

Ahoy, adventurers! Campers will take on exciting challenges and teamwork-based games inspired by island exploration.
Example activities may include:

  • Treasure hunts and map-making
  • Obstacle courses and relay races
  • Team-building challenges
  • Island-themed crafts and storytelling

June 22 - June 24: Red, White, and Blue

 

Celebrate summer the patriotic way with classic games, festive crafts, and outdoor fun.
Example activities may include:

  • Red, white, and blue art projects
  • Water games and field day challenges
  • Parade-style games and music
  • Cooperative group games and picnics

July 6 - 10: Superhero Academy

Calling all heroes! Campers will train their superpowers and complete heroic missions while learning about kindness and teamwork.
Example activities may include:

  • Designing superhero capes and masks
  • Superpower obstacle courses
  • Mission-based teamwork games
  • Creating superhero stories and comics

July 13 - 17: Space Explorers

Blast off into fun as campers journey through space with imagination and hands-on discovery.
Example activities may include:

  • Rocket-building challenges
  • Planet and galaxy crafts
  • Astronaut training games
  • Space-themed science experiments

July 20 - 24: Animation Station

 

Lights, camera, creativity! Campers will explore animation and visual storytelling inspired by the imaginative worlds of Disney, Pixar, and anime.
Example activities may include:

  • Designing original characters and expressive art styles
  • Creating flipbooks and simple stop-motion animations
  • Storyboarding scenes and building visual narratives
  • Exploring movement, emotion, and sound in animation

July 27 - 31: Camp Carnival

Step right up for a week of carnival fun! Campers will help create and enjoy a classic carnival experience.
Example activities may include:

  • Designing and playing carnival games
  • Face painting and costume fun
  • Friendly competitions and prizes
  • Building booths and hosting a mini carnival

At Little Van Goghs Camp, students will explore the works of Van Gogh, Kadinsky, Seurat, Harring, and more! We will study these artists and then create our own works using their techniques.

Campers with a big heart will participate in community service projects, both on and off campus. Potential activities including volunteering at a local food pantry, caring for animal shelter pets, and gardening at a community urban garden, just to name a few.

At Harry Potter camp, students will attend Hogwarts Kansas City to study topics including fantastic beasts, potions, Hogwarts USA history, and dueling.

During Princess Adventure Camp, campers embrace their inner royalty with activities like designing crowns and wands, playing royal-themed games, and enjoying stories about different fairytale princesses.

At the Superhero Training Academy, young heroes-in-the-making create their own superhero identities and discover the true qualities that make someone a hero! Through fun and interactive activities, kids develop their unique superpowers, face exciting mock missions, and learn the importance of teamwork, courage, and integrity. They design their own costumes, train their strength and agility, and embark on heroic adventures, all while discovering real-life heroes in their community and beyond!

Inspired by the Broadway show, Stomp, we will make music and create movement using everyday items from around the school. This high-energy week culminates with a performance created by students. Warning: we sometimes make big noises and big messes!

During City Market Chefs camp, students travel to NKC’s popular City Market, learn how to pick out the best produce, identify creative ways to cook healthy, and enjoy the art of cooking! On Friday, students present a cooking show for parents and friends!
